rideNgive $0.99 and Lite, bike racing sim released

Post  yarri on Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:22 am

Hi,

Just an update... both the Lite and Full version of our bike racing sim game are live. These are SIO2 v1.3.5 based with a unique social networking leader board system. We're loosely connected to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, donating a percentage of our proceeds to foundations chosen by users.

If you have time, could you please check out at least the Lite version and kindly post a review? I left a physics debug switch on the settings screen, I'd be really interested in learning about actually FPS rates for your devices.

Thanks,

---

We just submitted our app, I'll be sure to send promo codes out as soon as we get past approval -- Romain gets the first one!

This is the first 3D game I've ever done, the developer certificate was absolutely worth it. Doubt I could have ever completed it without SIO2 technology and the support here in this forum. Thanks!

I'm a bit tired after the crunch to ship and will send more details later but here are some features, and I'm already looking forward to upgrading to 1.3.6:
- SIO2 1.3.5 with Blender 2.48a (GIMP and Inkscape too)
- UIKit multi-tab based app, we use native GUI elements for a game lobby
- Overlayed UIKit button above EAGLView while maintaining 30fps
- Included 12 levels with two SIO2 engines (tutorial06 and tutorial09 based) for points mode and "cruising" mode
- Game *includes* Cocos2D for "minigames" in one tab (long story but that's that the management wanted...)
- UIWebView based best scores with Ruby on Rails back-end (another long story...)

And I left an Easter Egg in the game for you... a switch to enable physics debug & fps display.

We've been waiting for the Lite version to go live before announcing, but the paid version 1.1 is available here:

Reviews always appreciated, and I'll post again once the Lite version is approved.

It's been two weeks today. My first Lite version so I kinda expect to get a request to change some wording, etc. I provided a button that says, "Full Version" which links to the App Store. Heard that might be a problem?

strange how it is different for everyone, every thing I submited took maximum 6 days to be approved.. and the lite version of my first game took 48 hours to be approved..
