dark areas on imported objects Empty dark areas on imported objects

This is probably a very basic blender question. Everytime I export an object (like a basic cube) from blender to the iPhone simulator I get a cube that is half dark and half light. If i apply Multires in blender i still have dark squares on the cube. How do I get rid of the dark areas? - Thanks

Go in edit mode, select all faces, click ctrl+t. OpenGL ES can't draw quads only triangles.
