Hi, a newbie question:
Is this option available in SIO2? As I want to make my model smooth but without making the geometry heavy.

Nothing to do with subsurf. really this is the normals... go in blender select your object and click "Set Smooth", the normals are going to be smoothed and you can see the result when using lights... if you don't want to use lights simply bake the texture within blender...
