Did I miss the setup doc?

is there a HOW to set up for a MacBook? when I try and export out I get check console but I don't know were that is.

I just wanted to get started. so I was using one of the tutorials that was in the zip file I downloaded I will try and do step buy step that is shown in first video link.

I got it to export out now trying to get it to show up in the emulator just get a black screen.. so back to the video tutorials.. thanks.
