Exporting "Empty" Object Types from Blender
Empty object types would be a useful way to export object locations & transformations to sio2. Looking at the sio2 blender exporter, it doesn't look like that's currently supported. Besides duplicating an object (mesh or camera), is there any other way to export just a location or object transformation.
That would be helpful for making animation keyframes and placing objects in games.
Cheers

Re: Exporting "Empty" Object Types from Blender
If you want to use keyframe & collision I would suggest that you do not use the triangle of the MD2 animation as collision shape. (as I suggest in tutorial14)
My personal approach is this:
1. Load the MD2 independently (as usually you don't want to reload the player every time the user load a level)
2. In the level, create a collision shape for the MD2 (I personally always call this object "player"), usually a cylinder that I set to "ghost"
3. Everytime you load a new level parent the "player" transformation to the MD2
And that's pretty much it...
I put the task in my TODO list, and will keep you posted...
Cheers,

re: exporting empty objects
Hi Sio2, How are you today my friend?
Thanks for replying, but my previous question has nothing to do with the MD2 file format. I just want to be able to export 3d transforms & objects positions from Blender so I can just use sio2 to access them (rsrc manager). That way . I don't have to do the math...
Cheers,
Matthew
