REQUEST: Lua to Python

REQUEST: Lua to Python
I'm new here and I really enjoy checking out SIO2, I find it very usable for 3D on the iPhone. My skills are mainly in web applications (4+ years of experience), so learning rendering and physics is still new to me. Please keep up the good work with the SIO2 Engine.
I'm very happy that you chose to integrate Blender (ease of importing) and Bullet for 3D physics. That's what sold me because I was using them on a desktop project with OGRE: http://www.ogre3d.org Blender and Bullet are just getting better and better with every release. Commercial products, like Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop (soon to be replace by GIMP), become less viable for indies like me.
The one thing that I wasn't happy is the use of "Lua" as your scripting language. What happen to "Python" and I see it being very popular and even adopted by commercial products like Autodesk Maya and open source Blender. I'm not going to weigh the pros and cons because I'm new, but "Python" is what I see a lot on the Internet and web articles like slashdot.org
I will learn Lua if I have too, because I think SIO2 is awesome. But, SIO2 is young and I want to make sure you guys include the best open source tools: Python, Blender, OpenAL, and Bullet.
Thanks for reading!

Re: REQUEST: Lua to Python
I understand me too Im more python but python is huge... really huge... on the other hand LUA is really more small with an extremely low memory footprint and is really easy to embedded inside you application, the virtual machine is also pretty small.
And use in many popular games of today such as (WOW).
I like the LUA approach which more near C than python (all the tabs etc...) that's why I choose to use LUA more than python.
Give it a try you won't regret it... For games due to its fast compilation time & execution time, I feel (by experience) that LUA is more appropriate than Python for SIO2.
But if someone would like to start another branch of SIO2 with Python instead of LUA (or both as a matter of fact) I would be more than happy
Cheers,

Okay, I'll give Lua a try once get into the scripting part of the SIO2 engine. I'm still learning and prototyping on how to use your engine beforehand.
Thanks!
Thanks!
