Sio2 and OpenGL ES 2.0
With the recent announcement of the Iphone 3G[s], we'll now have access to a much more capable handheld (probably increased cpu clock and GPU internals to go with it). Does anyone have any experience in moving from a ES 1.1-based engine to a ES 2.0 with programmable shaders? Is it possible to do easily? or will we be stuck with 1.1 calls indefinitely?
Any feedback/discussion would be greatly appreciated. (with due respect to the OS 3.0 NDA that is sadly still in effect. )
