I can't get two textures on an object to render on the simulator Empty I can't get two textures on an object to render on the simulator

I have been unable to get a cube with a different texture on each of two faces to render on the simulator using the template of tutorial 04. Blender renders OK in the 3D View. I have tried all combinations of vertex groups, materials and texture channels that make sense. The SIO2 output file seems sensible. I'm must be missing something.

Anyone, please ...

Check out this video:

Multimaterial is supported in SIO2 via vertex group, make sure that the appropriate faces of the group is assigned to the right material...

That's about it Wink

Got it, thanks heaps for your help.

I've got textures rendering OK now but it has taken me ages to master.

Thanks again. You're da' man.

Kind regards

Hi cgen2, I have the same question about 2 materials. How did you figure it out? I followed the tutorial link (I know it's a little out-of-date) and tried to guess all things the author did with his keyboard. But still got a single color stick on iPhone instead of the two-color stick that I saw in Blender. I'm sure that I have two vertex group named "blue" and "red" and I can select one group and click on "Select/Deselect" to see that I have two different sets of faces assigned t each group. Same thing with the materials, I can choose a material and select/deselect to verify the assigned faces. Do you have to do anything besides these? ...Really need to figure this out. BTW, I'm using tutorial03 instead of 04.

Well I see another post related to that, so I record another video, hopefully more clear than the first one:

Hey! I think I know where the problem is: When you export you have the "IN" button selected! As soon as I did that my two materials rendered correctly! This button together with other buttons of the exporter didn't exist in the previous video tutorials. This is really a pitfall for newbies like me, I guess.
