Hey everyone,
I found a script in Blender that will simulate shadows using vertex color. It is much like the one included in sio2 (the V button on the exporter), but with a ton more options, including blurring. To access it: while in vertex paint mode, click on the "paint" menu and choose "Self Shadow VCols." It's a reallllly useful script if you want an efficient way to bake shadows, perfect for an iPhone game.
