every other triangle missing
So using tutorial 6 *.blend files shipped with SIO2:
-made a sphere in blender
-renamed it so it wasn't inheriting attributes from the other spheres
-set the rigid body physics attributes
-UVwrapped it with a custom painted material (looks like the earth)
-exported with the sio2 export script and ran the xcode project
at this point the object looks fine in blender. However, when the object is loaded into the world on the handset then every other triangle is missing (transparent)... the texture is still discernable but it just missing triangles. I would like to actually have 100% of the triangles. I'm sure 50% of the triangles might work in some contexts though.

triangles are turned on for sure (cntrl+t in edit mode).

1. Are you sure that all the normals are pointing in the right direction?
2. Have you applied UVs?
3. If you have made some changes on the vertices? If yes rebuild the vertexgroup then export again.

must have been triangles...
Well it's working now and I can't reproduce it so it must have been have still using quads for the faces. When I was doing another tutorial I noticed that the lack of control+t for triangles results in turning quads into 2 triangles where 1 triangle is completely opaque and the other is textured. I think this was my bad.
