Exporting large meshes
Hey there,
I have a relatively large mesh I'd like to export. Blender says, 12000 faces and 8200 vertices. Unfortunately, though, the exporter doesn't come back once I hit the "Export" button. The original file was imported as a 3DS file. It is not textured and consists of two objects, a lamp and a camera.
Are there any limitations the exporter currently has?

Not really... that should work just fine, maybe try to remove doubles in blender and to run the "Clean Meshes" script while in edit mode, If you can also share with me this 3DS I would like to try it out and find where the problem come from so (if theres anything) adjust the exporter accordingly.

You are using multimaterial on the object Cube.001, and somehow the first material index have been delete... the question his how did you do that cuz when you remove a material on the editing panel the index should be removed from the list... Simply click the delete button having the first index selected and export again.
