Object with two materials

Object with two materials
I have an object in which different materials are assigned to different faces. In one material I use a texture, in the other one I only use color. When I export it, both materials are exported but the object consists of only one vertex group, the one with the texture. Shouldn't the object be split up into separate vertex groups per material?

Re: Object with two materials
Sorry, the tutorial is too blurry and there is no sound. I tried the vertex group but still only saw one material. Is there a step by step explanation of this tutorial? I really need to make this work.

Re: Object with two materials
wrc4, the posting is some weeks old, I guess the link is pointing to an outdated tutorial. Check the home page for the most recent ones which include sound. I'd love to tell you what the problem was, but I can't remember right now.
