Hello SIO2,

I was wondering if you have considered writing an Exporter for 3DSMax or Maya Modeling Software.

Thanks

Honestly not really, since I do not have a license myself and want to provide to all SIO2 users an "out of the box" solution where they can start developing whatever they want using free software.

If someone is interested to write an exporter for the current and future exporter I would gladly integrate it inside the source tree. But personally I would not do it, SIO2 is meant to be free and open source... and should not rely on commercial software, and should give the opportunity to indie game developer to simply go download for free the following software and start developing:

- Blender (3D Software)
- The Gimp (Image manipulation program)
- Audacity (Sound manipulation program)
- Jahashaka (Video editing software)

SIO2 will never force developers to obtain legally or illegally license(s) for any software in order to develop on top of the SIO2 framework.

I agree with that sentence, and I like it. But don not forget you *need* a MAC with Leopard (hardware and software), and even if you want to publish a game, you have to pay to Apple.

Even more, Apple uses open source code, but they don't support it as google do.
